MESSAGE OF GREETINGS TO THE 4th CONGRESS OF THE PARTY OFLABOUR OF AUSTRIA (PdA)


Dear Comrades,

On behalf of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of the Yugoslavia (NKPJ) we warmly welcome you, the delegates of the 4th Congress of the Party of Labour of Austria (PdA).

Your Congress is taking place in one of the most dangerous moments in the history of humanity. The effects of capitalism’s systemic crisis, which has undergone a qualitative leap in the past decade, continue to expand and to affect, in diverse ways, all spheres of life on our planet. Two hundred years after the birth of Karl Marx, the facts confirm the lucidity and validity of his profound analysis of capitalism and of its irreconcilable contradictions.

We   believe   your   party's   congress   can   be   an   important   step   towards   mutual   cooperation of progressive people to be strengthened, to reach fairer social order.

We  wish  every  success  to  your   congress  debates,  and  we  also  wish  to  your  party  its  influence  in  the  society  to  improve.   We   appreciate   our   mutual   cooperation,   to   be   ready   for   its   further   development.

Dear Comrades!

New Communist Party of Yugoslavia congratulates in anticipation for the success of your congress. We hope that the congress will devise strong strategies to further strengthen and energize Party of Labour of Austria (PdA).

I firmly believe that relations between our two Parties, developed in the spirit of mutual respect will ensure collaborative work on better cooperation and effective fight against opportunism and anticommunism, and will also promote stronger cooperation in world communist movement.

Day of the Republic / November 29th On this day in 1943 the Anti-Fascist Council for the National Liberation of Yugoslavia (Antifašističko vijeće narodnog oslobođenja Jugoslavije, AVNOJ) at its second session in Jajce declared that Yugoslavia would be “built on a democratic, federal principle” as “a community of equal nations/peoples  who freely expressed their wish to live in Yugoslavia,” called Democratic Federal Yugoslavia, comprising 6 equal republics (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and Macedonia). Leader of the Partisan resistance, Tito was named the head of the provisional government and also elevated to the rank of Marshal on that day. Two years later, on 29 November 1945, at AVNOJ’s next biennial session, King Petar II transferred power to Tito as the new country’s prime minister.
