 IT STARTED 20 YEARS AGO, AND IT LASTS TODAY

NATO alliance has been founded as the fist of western imperialism, with the goals of protecting large capital and enslaving other nations. USA and EU had a key role in the foundation of that alliance. Since then, these countries executed very aggressive politics towards peaceful nations and had a key role in destroying SFRJ, while the continuity of these politics was show in their criminal aggression on SR Yugoslavia, and later in secession of the southern Serbian territory, Kosovo and Metohija. NATO, without the permission from UN, was destroying, for 78 days one completely sovereign country. That aggression took over 4000 lives, mostly civilians, more than 10.000 were wounded. They destroyed factories, roads, homes, and other civilian objects, and the entire operation called “Merciful Angel” was seasoned with cluster bombs and depleted uranium. Later consenquences of bombing and pollution of the environment are manifested in the number of cancer patients for 20%, death toll raised for 25% and there is a raise in leukemia and lymphoma for 110%, while their death toll is rasied for 118%. Also, pollution of rivers, soil and other parts of ecosystem have long term effects on the population of our homeland. Between ten and eighteen thousand people have died as a consequence of 1999. NATO bombing of Serbia. The preliminary results of a medical study have shown increase of various fatal illness due to the use of depleted uranium. But depleted uranium is just a tip of the ice berg: there is an increased number of children age 5 to 9 that are affected by some form of cancer; brain cancers are common with the 18 year old population. However, NATO is at a campaign trying to prove that ’’depleted uranium is hot harmful’’ and that 1999. NATO bombing has nothing to do with the increase of these illness in Serbia. Following the similar scenario, without respect of international law and the will of the people, NATO alliance created many hot spots: in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lybia…

NATO alliance failed to break the resistance of Yugoslav people with their criminal aggression, but using traitors, on 5^th October, 2000, they succeeded in their goals and pretensions. From then, until today, puppet regimes of Kostunica and Djindjic then, as well as Boris Tadic, Dacic and Vucic, have come and gone. What those regimes have in common is that they worked under the direction of Brussels and Washington. SR Yugoslavia, after the 5^th October revolution, joined to greenery organizations like MMF and World Bank. Partnership for Peace, that is the first step towards joining NATO, and then started to fall in debt with western creditors, while on the other hand, domestic financial sector was destroyed. Puppet regimes started to “work” on getting Serbia closer to the imperialist entity, EU, that works in interest of large capital and is a jail for nations. According to that policy, Serbia was deindustrialized, and factories, that working people were creating for decades in socialism were hijacked and handed over to domestic tycoons and foreign capital. Mineral and natural resources were sold to next to nothing. Health care has been systematically destroyed, and with each year, private services are favored over state services. Knowledge is being transformed into commodity, and extreme commercialization of education starts with adopting Bologna declaration in 2006. State union of Serbia and Montenegro signs a document that allows NATO to use roads without any limits, and also to be completely released from any responsibility. Requested by western imperialists, Serbia creates a new constitution in 2006, that completed the restoration of capitalism, abolishing the domination of public property and public owning over the means of production, while on the other hand, legalized robbing people by privatization and using EU standards, brought in the domination of private property. Also, with this constitution, Kosovo and Metohija got more loosened status, as well as Autonomous province of Vojvodina, which created a new opportunity of creating new satellites of imperialism and further breaking of out country. SR Yugoslavia was supposed to be the nucleus of recreating Socialist Federative republic of Yugoslavia, but with the fixed referendum in 2006, with the help of puppet regime in Montenegro, led by Milo Djukanovic, SR Yugoslavia was broken, which goes well into continuity of imperialist policy with a goal of breaking Yugoslavia. One of the last phases of breaking Socialist Federative republic of Yugoslavia was done by proimerialist regimes of Dacic and Vucic, who signed Brussels agreement, that in fact recognized south Serbian province Kosovo and Metohija as an independent state.

All these circumstances contributed to the fact that young people in Serbia don’t have and don’t see any future in it. Puppet regimes in Serbia, looking up to EU, are successfully doing the politics where more than 50 percent of young people are unemployed, tuition fees on universities are fourth highest in Europe, and students older than 26, don’t have a right for free healthcare. Scholarships are not adjusted to the living standards, and besides that, they are not regular. Young people are forced to volunteer (some would say, to get job experience), and only the rare ones actually get a job. Those who are lucky enough to get a job, are usually not registered, or work for a minimal wage, no matter if they work for a domestic tycoon or foreign capital, With market logic of the capital, young, capable people are searching for their luck outside of Serbia. Those are usually, highly educated young people who work for less money than a worker in more developed countries, because he has no other choice. That situation represents a big problem for the future of a country, because society that invested in a person, stays without that person, and his or her knowledge is used by some other country. This clearly shows that poor and undeveloped countries stand no chance against developed, imperialist countries, that are centers of large capital.

Besides that, occupation is done through mass media, educational institutions, textbooks, and other state institutions, all that with a goal of preserving the existing capitalist system. So, in Serbia nowadays, we are witnesses of historical revisionism, that regarding Second World War, as well as the one that is closer to us, regarding NATO bombing. What those phenomenons have in common? Occupation. So, today, when the capitalist system is in crisis, this puppet regime rehabilitates their ideological ancestors, those who collaborated with Nazi-fascist occupier. Of course they are afraid of revolution, that eradicated hunger, illiteracy, but also brought industrialization and electrification, allowed to every person to get educated and get healthcare, to have a home, all of that western imperialism, with the help of NATO, took away from Yugoslav people by destroying their country and putting puppet regimes in charge. They returned this region one epoch backwards. In the last 14 years, proimperialist regimes are silent about NATO aggression. But, their audacity is so big that, behind the charade, they are working on involving Serbia into this criminal alliance. Today, there is a special pressure to Serbia to enter NATO alliance, because its surrounded by members, even though 90% of people are against it. Devastating fact, as well, is a character of vassal relationship that Serbia has with Brussels and Washington, and the fact that on Serbian territory are organizations that are openly supporting membership in NATO. In 2011, Serbia was the host of NATO summit, and in 2013, NATO youth summit was organized, with a purpose of telling young people about the necessity of membership in that organization of large capital, because if not, Serbia will be at “security” risk. Fiercest propagandist of NATO alliance is The Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies, that is constantly present in the media. That organization fabricates lies and misinformation, about the activities of NATO alliance, as well as bombing of our country, and they are trying to influence the public opinion, especially younger generations.

Practice showed that NATO is the biggest security risk in the world, and people of Serbia felt that on their skin during the bombing.

Today, under the pressure of NATO and EU, Serbia is being forced to recognize Kosovo and Metohija as an independent country. Western imperialism wants to present that as a historical solution between Serbs and Albanians. If Serbia ever agrees on that scenario, that would be a violation of the international law, and created new clashes on multiethnic Balkans, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, southwestern Serbia, Montenegro… So, we are appealing on a dangers of breaking the international law, because if the principle is not being respected on one occasion, then that disrespect will become a rule. It is clear to everyone that western imperialism does not want a peaceful solution, but new clashes, so they can control the Balkan Peninsula. Today, in crisis, to the young people, who suffer the most, whose fury is justified, many fake alternatives are being offered, that are allegedly against NATO alliance, but whose purpose is exactly preserving large capital and NATO. Unfortunately, the occupation of our country that started 20 years ago still lasts!

Young people are meeting many challenges, in Serbia, but also worldwide. Imperialism is the highest stage in the development of capitalism, and its main force is NATO alliance. Today we live in a systematical capitalist crisis, but that system cannot escape its own inconsistencies. Whole world realized that the goal of western large capital is, by using NATO, secure economic suppression and to capture natural resources of other nations. Serbia, along with other Balkan nations, is a good example of that.

With that, we say, THERE IS NO PEACE, FREEDOM AND JUSTICE WITHOUT THE DESTRUCTION OF CAPITALISM! There will be no social transformations of society, advancements or economic prosperity while NATO hold Balkans under occupation. NATO murderers – leave Serbia! NATO – leave Balkans! Balkans belongs to Balkan nations!
